Sniffing Around

UPDATED: 3-14-08  Michael Cera and David Cross haven’t heard a squeak about the rumored movie, but they wouldn’t be opposed to it. Well, David Cross won’t don the blue paint for a Blue Man Group reunion, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

Will Arnett was also on Conan a few weeks back, and he was asked briefly about the AD movie. He also confirmed the sniffing around bit, but nothing is moving forward just yet. Here is Part 1 and Part 2.

3-13-08 We’ve heard it once before. An “Arrested Development” movie could happen, or will happen. But this time, it may be different.

Jason Bateman and Jeffrey Tambor confirmed movie talks at the beginning of February. A script hasn’t been hammered out yet, cast members haven’t signed on, but as Bateman put it, a round of sniffing has begun. It seems Michael Cera and Mitch Hurwitz keep in touch. In other words….

Dear Lord,

I don’t ask you for much. In fact, let’s forget the whole Sega Genesis fiasco. Super Nintendo was a suitable replacement. But I’m setting my foot down on this one. There are certain things you don’t mess around with in this world. The show that was taken from us way too early has new life. With Easter around the corner, let’s make it the Resurrection Part 2. No excuses. I need this. The world needs this. Jeffrey Tambor needs this. No seriously, he’s doing a tv show with Chris Klein right now. He….needs…..this. Alright, you see my point? See ya at the premiere.

Anyways, even without a script, some blogs offer some solid speculation on the possible plotlines. It’s worth a gander.

This is going to be a blog where I hope to offer as much news on the development on the possible “Citizen Kane of our generation” as I can. Feel free to provide any newsbits or anything else you find that could provide posts for this site. Thanks, and keep your fingers crossed.
